As the crow flies the island municipality Solund is about 80 kilometer north
of Bergen,
the second largest city of Norway, known for Bryggen, the medieval trade centre.
Solund has 900 inhabitants and consists of 1700 small and larger islands,
including
Utvær, the most western point of Norway. The largest island is Sula, where also
lies
Hardbakke, the largest town of Solund. Hardbakke has one of the finest natural
harbours, a sandy beach for the little ones, many opportunities for water
sports,
a restaurant with a pleasant terrace overlooking the harbour, a tourist
information
office and a small shopping center.
Experience and discover the many islands, narrow inlets, large fjords and the
rough
but beautiful landscape.
